This is a super scarce antique full and still sealed tin of The Pocahontas Pill medication. Still has the original paper wrapping with wax seals intact and an image of Pocahontas and John Smith and presumably Pocahontas' father. Text on the paper label reads "The Pocahontas Pill, for the cure of all bilious diseases, prepared by C. B. Merrick, M. D. , Milton, Pa. " The container is made of tin (tested with a magnet). Measures 1 3/4 inches tall. How many pills are in the tin is unknown, label does not say. What type of design is on the tin inside is unknown. Found as pictured in an estate of a lifetime collector of advertising. Dates to somewhere around 1840. Pills inside are still intact enough to rattle and sound like pills when you shake it. Refer to the photos for a better idea of the condition, you will receive the exact tin pictured, and you won't likely find another.
