2020 US Postal Service Rate Increase Goes Into Effect

You may have noticed a marked increase in the cost of shipping on Anticuria as well as other online shopping sites in the past week or so. That's because the new USPS postage rates went into effect in late January. This 2020 postage hike does not affect first class letters, but almost everything else increased in price by several percent over their previous rates. These rate changes have automatically been implemented on many shopping sites across the internet.

In addition to the postal increase, in 2020 more states will begin collecting sales tax from sites where individual sellers and businesses sell products to customers in their home states, despite the shopping site being located in a different location. Most states now have laws in place that require paying of sales taxes online, and those that don't, likely soon will.
